For The Horses Ent. is operated by Trish Hoy.
She has worked for 20 years with adults who have disabilities. Her venture in the field has gained her experience working in a variety of settings for independent living programs. For the last 12 years, she has worked for a Native Band coordinating a life skills program. Longing for a change in a new direction, she decided to pursue a lifelong dream of taking her 30 year love of horses to a more serious level. She set the goal of returning to school in pursuit of higher education in order to work professionally with horses.
One of her first steps towards achieving her goal was to graduate from Monty Roberts' International Learning Centre. Using a nonviolent method of communication in addition to classical principles of horsemanship, Trish has successfully started and rehabilitated horses, including feral equine. Kanadiana International Equestrian College, diploma program and has been a student of British Horse Master.
Trish will be studying in Calgary with Equine Body Works for her Level 1 certification in the equine massage field. She plans to use her skills along with saddle fitting in order to improve the horse's health and wellbeing . It is my intent to work as a para professional, along side of the professional equine massage therapists. Trish is seeking horse owners who support this form of healing therapy in order to complete required practicum time. Trish Is a member of the Coaches Association of British Columbia (CABC).
Trish will be utilizing her
teaching background in Early Childhood Education & Human Service Worker as
well as her Contracting background with the Ministry of Children & Families
will assist to enrich the various programs at Meadow View School of
Horsemanship. She has her certification in Level 1 National Coaching
Certification, current First Aid & passed Criminal Record Check.
Her property is located just a few minutes from 100 Mile House, B.C., Canada on 15 acres called Meadow View. Her business For The Horses Ent., has three divisions. Training horses is the first division. Training packages for 'Solutions for Manners' are available for the customer to choose. One of her goals is to educate the rider, therefore it is important for the horse owner to observe and participate in the training before returning home with the horse.
